Inside Out 1993

Client: Design Setters.
Art Director: n/a.
Project Date: Summer 1993.

Happy Monday! Today is a small post on a fun project I did from Design Setters out of Burbank CA back in the early 90's.

This was an early in my career job that was a set design gig to do an office for a TV Commercial that was themed as an"inside-out" world, so to speak. The inside was filled with foliage and painted with a sky and looked like you were outside though you were in an office. Looking out the window they added in CGI images of the inside of an office out in the world, but the office was a practical set so I designed it here. We used real grass for carpet and they animated the clouds on the ceiling in post as well, though I did not see the final piece.

This also was a typical fast turn around job and I performed the design work here with two 8.5 x 11 delivered design sketches in 4 Hrs time[ half-day] that could be produced for the budget and time allotted.

Fun!

Cheers, THOM
